Research Assistant I-CVG--The Brown Foundation Institute of Molecular Medicine (Finance)
The research assistant will assist the investigators, including post-doctoral fellows and the faculty in performing the basic science molecular biology and genetic experiments. Will assist with mouse genotyping and maintaining the mouse colonies. Likewise, the research assistant will assist with the routine laboratory work, including performing western blotting, polymerase chain reaction and histology.

Under close direction of senior research staff, conducts activities to support research projects.
Position Key Accountabilities:
A BA or BS degree is preferred. Experience in molecular biology and genetic techniques is a plus.
Certification/Skills:
General knowledge of research fields.
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in lieu of education.
Minimum Experience:
No years of experience.
Physical Requirements:
Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds constantly and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
This position may include work involving potentially hazardous chemical, biological or radioactive agents.
