Passenger Amenities Manager (Maintenance)

As the Passenger Amenities Manager at PSTA, you'll play a key role in maintaining and enhancing our extensive network of bus stops, shelters, and amenities, ensuring safe, clean, and welcoming spaces for all passengers.
BASIC PURPOSE
· Performs professional transit work relating to the development, maintenance and operations of the PSTA's extensive network of fixed route assets encompassing 4,300+ bus stops, 65+ shelters, transfer centers/hubs, and performs related work as required.
· Coordinates the activities of the PSTA external passenger amenity (bus stops, shelters, benches, trash cans, bicycle racks, etc.) asset maintenance program.
· Plans and implements programs and activities to ensure that PSTA passenger amenities are properly tracked, inventoried, maintained, safe, and project a positive image to the general public.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Work under the supervision of the Superintendent of Facilities but latitude is granted for the exercise of independent judgment and initiative.
· Review passenger amenities for damage or repair needs and take corrective action to address issues.
· Research amenities complaints and/or requests and coordinate viable solutions.
· Provide direct oversight of all PSTA sub-contractors responsible for the preventive maintenance, cleaning, and general repairs of all external passenger amenities.
· Provide daily work orders for jobs to be performed to maintain stops and shelters.
· Visit construction sites for installation of passenger amenities to ensure assets are being constructed in compliance with design.
· Work in a safe manner and reports unsafe activity and conditions. Follow Florida safety policy and practices, and adhere to responsibilities concerning safety prevention, reporting and monitoring, as outlined in the ADAAG.
· Report HASTUS changes to the Scheduling Department on a monthly basis to maintain accuracy.
· Maintain accurate bus stops and amenities inventory.
· Facilitate monthly committee meetings comprised of multiple PSTA departments tasked with reviewing amenity requests from the general public.
· Monitor various programs such as See/Click/Fix and the “adopt a can” option for citizens requesting a trash receptacle at low ridership stops.
· Coordinate and organize material, e.g. maps, schedules, etc., by location to be placed throughout the County due to route changes and updates.
· Perform all work duties and activities in accordance with PSTA policies and procedures.
· Perform other related duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
· Education: High School diploma/GED, Associate's degree or equivalent job experience.
· Experience: At least three years' experience in an office environment at similar job positions. Preferably some experience in ArcGIS and/or other mapping software.
· License Requirement: Valid Florida Driver's License.
· Special Requirements: No serious traffic violations or suspension of Driver's License, and no DUIs for the previous seven years. No more than seven points in the previous four years.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
· Knowledge of: Office management and administrative procedures, establishment and maintenance of record keeping systems, Microsoft Windows software and applications. Methods, principles, procedures, objectives, and standard practices of transit planning, administration, GIS, and implementation, also, transit system operations. The principles and practices of public administration and local government policies, procedures, structure and services. Applicable Federal, State, County and local statues and codes governing transit planning and transit operations.
· Skilled in: Microsoft Office, ArcGIS, HASTUS, CAD/AVL, mapping systems, maintenance asset tracking systems.
· Abilities: Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of employees; maintain confidential information; prioritize work based on the ongoing demands of the PSTA Amenities Program; exercise initiative and work independently; operate a variety of modern office equipment and machines. Read and interpret technical and operational documents, maps and diagrams. Conduct research, analyze findings, and prepare clear and concise reports and recommendations. Analyze problems, identify alternatives, and negotiate effective solutions. Administer contracts and agreements and monitor the work of contractors. Prepare and present oral and written reports, graphic presentations, and technical reports and maintain system operational, activity, and performance records. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with elected officials, governmental agencies, and employees of all levels, and the public. Demonstrate integrity, ingenuity, and inventiveness in the performance of assigned tasks.
