JOB LOCATION: Waukee Family YMCAHOURS/DAY SCHEDULE: 8:00 am - 1:00 pm, Monday - FridayPAY RATE: $10.25 - $11.88+ per hour, depending upon experience.CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS: May 7, 2025. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Youth Program Instructor, you will guide children through themed Enrichment activities such as art, science, cooking, health & well-being, and more. You will have an opportunity to lead kids in a way that fosters a sense of belonging, helps them gain confidence through achievement, and build relationships with and among children in the program. As a Youth Program Instructor, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a safe environment both physically and emotionally for the group, and of course HAVE FUN!!!

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Demonstrate and teach activities.
Conduct program in a fun, positive atmosphere.
Know emergency procedures and be able to demonstrate them.
Report specific problems or needs to supervisor or designated staff person.
Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor or designated staff person.
Demonstrate and support the objectives of the Association as embodied in the mission statement and values.
