Instructor NTC, Neurosurgery - McGovern Medical School (Finance)
Position Key Accountabilities:
The Rank Instructor faculty in Neurosurgery will work on developing new strategies for physical energy therapeutic where physical energy of any form (ionizing radiation, non-ionizing radiation, heat, cryo, focused ultrasound, etc.) will be used to treat tumors. Experimental protocols will entail working with cells in culture in vitro, animal models in vivo, and explanted tissues and tumors ex vivo. Familiarity with cell and tissue culture, animal handling, classical cellular/molecular/tumor biology techniques, flow cytometry, and confocal microscopy is desirable but not essential. Investigations of the underlying molecular mechanisms may be conducted to identify conserved resistance pathways readily abrogated by targeted therapeutics with nanoparticles, antibody-drug conjugates, radiopharmaceuticals, and/or cellular therapies.
This position of Instructor will be tasked to conduct cancer-related projects, mentor graduate students and postdoctoral fellows, and apply for independent grant funding. The Rank of Instructor, NTR in Neurosurgery will teach participants in research studies, and provide training to Residence, Fellow, and supervision of Medical Students.
Qualifications:
MD or equivalent degree and demonstrate a track of publications in leading peer-reviewed journals.

Preferred applicants will possess advanced fellowships.
