- Bachelor's Degree Accounting
- 3+ years of experience in accounting
- Knowledge of Fred Meyer policies, procedures, and organizational structure
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or other database applications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Access
- Familiarity with industry/technical terms and processes- Provide management support for the review and analysis of operational expense reporting, including variance to budget reviews and reports of findings to management
- Provide accurate, explainable operational expense results
- Assist with the period closing process, including preparation of journal entries
- Gather data and create appropriate expense variance reporting
- Communicate with management and stores concerning operational expense questions and requests for information
- Research and explain profit and loss variances
- Reconcile balance sheets and communicate changes in conditions affecting balance sheet activity
