Job Summary:
Responsible for the general assembly of catering carts in accordance with flight service requests.
Benefits:
• Weekly pay for hourly employees (could change it specific to the state e.g. CA)
Job Duties:
• Responsible for the final assembly of catering carts.
• Receive used catering carts from the aircraft, clean them, replenish them, and make them ready to be sent on a new flight.
• Pack carts with items required for service related to food and beverages such as ice, soda, food items, napkins, trash bags, and alcohol.
• Review flight service requests to determine items required for each flight.
• Handle food and beverages and related items as per FDA guidelines on food hygiene.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and policies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill, experience and, capabilities expected for this position.
Qualifications:
• High School diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to obtain credentials required as per airport or state or customs requirements.
Physical requirements:
• Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 70 lbs; and constantly push, pull, walk, stand, reach above shoulder, climb, crawl, stoop, squat, kneel, & bend.
Working conditions:
• Must be able to work in rotating shifts and hours, nights, weekends and holidays, overtime.
• Must be able and open to work in outside weather conditions which may include severe seasonal elements.
• Pace of work can vary with passenger traffic.
