Position Summary — The Slot Shift Supervisor is responsible for actively monitoring behavior and performance of all Slot Attendants as well as day-to-day operation of the slot floor. May be required to assist in scheduling, tips, and payroll.
Essential Functions — An individual in this role must be able to perform the following functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Supervising and leading a team of employees during a specific shift.
Ensuring that workflow processes are followed and that tasks are completed on time.
Creating and managing shift schedules for department employees.
Training new employees on departmental processes, procedures, and safety protocols.
Monitoring the quality of work and output produced by the department.
Ensuring that all safety regulations and protocols are followed.
Facilitating communication between team members and other departments.
Addressing and resolving issues or conflicts that may arise during the shift.
Managing resources, such as equipment, materials, and supplies, to support departmental activities.
Tracking and assessing the performance of individual team members.
Ensuring that guest service standards are met or exceeded.
Maintaining accurate records of shift activities, including production reports and incident reports.
Assists in the installation, moving, removal, repair, maintenance, and conversion of machines.
Develops and maintains a friendly, courteous rapport with guests and staff.
Operates hand-held radio – hearing and speaking clearly using established signals and codes.
Effectively interprets machine conditions by use of self-diagnostic and troubleshooting techniques.
Responds to floor calls in an expeditious manner.
Maintains security of equipment, records, and keys.
Troubleshoots, identifies and prevents equipment problems.
Maintains a clean, neat and safe gaming floor environment.
Investigates and resolves Slot Disputes and collect evidence as needed.
Completes department forms and other paperwork as necessary.
Able to work in a Slot Attendant or Tech capacity.
Qualifications
High school diploma or G.E.D. and Slot experience required.
Cash Handling experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to lead and motivate team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Ability to multitask and work as part of the team and to promote a cooperative approach between departments.
Skilled in the use of Microsoft Suite and Adobe.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills to resolve issues with guests and staff.
Ability to read, comprehend and interpret complex written and oral instructions.
Ability to follow complex procedures.
Knowledge of implementation and successful installations to the Oasis System.
Knowledge of the different Oasis modules.
Ability to accurately count currency.
Ability to remain calm in emergencies or stressful situations.
Other Requirements — Required to obtain and maintain a Seneca Cayuga tribal gaming license and a state issued I.D. All applicants must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening prior to beginning employment. Must be at least 18 years of age.
Physical Requirements — Position requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb, bend, or kneel for extended periods.
Work Environment — Grand Lake Casino is a drug and alcohol-free workplace; Must be able to work in a casino environment which includes high levels of smoke, dust, noise, and bright flashing lights.
Special Working Conditions — Position requires flexibility to work any shift including weekends and holidays.
