HVAC Technician (Manufacturing)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES and TASKS:
Assemble refrigeration equipment by using appropriate tools resident in the manufacturing plant
Ensures all parts are assembled in direct compliance with Everidge's quality standards
Correctly install refrigeration equipment as listed on the building work order
Correctly pumps down all holding charges associated with the installed equipment
Correctly charges the refrigeration units to supplier standards and within environmental code requirements
Performs system checkout to ensure refrigeration equipment is operating correctly
Assists roofing personnel as needed to ensure zero line disruptions during construction
Conduct daily safety and operational inspections on installation and test equipment being used, recording all information on the appropriate form in accordance with 5S
Completes system check to verify zero leaks at all brazed joints
Uses metal tape measure to verify all parts, both length and width and ensuring proper location on building roof
Correctly identifies all parts required to complete installation – using only those identified for the specific building being assembled
Segregates useable refrigeration systems, and installation pieces, properly returning them to warehouse personnel for tracking purposes
Cross trains within other departments
Adheres to all policies, rules, regulations
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED
Proficient in HVAC systems, refrigeration, electrical systems, troubleshooting and using diagnostic tools
HVAC Certification (Level I and II)
PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Display the ability to install all refrigeration equipment, complying with environmental standards
Display the ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time with periodic break periods
Ability to work safely around heavy equipment mechanical devices
