Position Overview:
This consumer underwriting position will be focused on underwriting credit and reviewing compliance on a variety of consumer loans. There will also be a considerable amount of customer service and support for an existing portfolio Some analytical ability is required in order to gather and summarize data for reports, find solutions to various customer issues, and prioritize work. Position requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines. Must be able to multi-task and meet deadlines. This position is located in Elgin and is currently hybrid; working from home 2 days a week.
What you'll do:
Underwrite consumer loan applications following regulatory requirements and Bank's Policies, Procedures and Matrix upholding the Wintrust standard for internal and external customer service
Coordinate loan closings and fundings
High level of written and verbal communication with internal and external clients regarding missing documentation
Handle customer transaction requests/balance inquiries, troubleshoot and investigate customer matters
Various other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
At least 3 years of experience working in lending environment or 2+ years working in a banking environment
Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, email and database software

Compensation:
The estimated hourly rate for this role is $23.30-$30.00, along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual pay rate may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience.
