Clarios, LLC
Mechatronics Engineer (Engineering)
What you will do
Clarios is seeking a forward-thinking Mechatronics Engineer to help bridge the gap between physical systems and digital intelligence across our automotive battery manufacturing operations. This role will focus on digitizing plant-level audits, integrating machine data into visual management platforms like Power BI, and creating seamless communication across previously siloed systems.
You'll work cross-functionally with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to drive automation and standardization efforts while building toward our future USCAN operating system.
How you will do it
Digitize and automate current audit systems, with a focus on integrating action tracking and problem-solving workflows.
Connect machine-level data into centralized databases and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) to support real-time decision-making and performance tracking.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to integrate disconnected systems.
Support standardized problem solving, including root cause analysis (5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.), and help translate these into digital tools and workflows.
Assist in developing and supporting the USCAN operating system, including daily cadence meetings and visual management for area managers.
Partner with suppliers and vendors to ensure successful system integration and scalable solutions.
Develop and maintain documentation, workflows, and technical specs for system integration and automation projects.
What we look for
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in manufacturing environments (Tier 1 automotive, chemical, or battery manufacturing preferred).
Strong background in mechatronics, with an emphasis on software and systems integration.
Experience with data visualization tools, especially Power BI and visual management on the Gemba.
Preferred
Working knowledge of QAD, manufacturing systems, and plant-level operations.
Familiarity with digital audits, root cause analysis methods (e.g., 5 Whys), and continuous improvement frameworks.
