Shopify Designer/Developer (Personal Services)

Position Summary:
We are looking for a talented and experienced Shopify Designer & Developer to join our Marketing team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing multiple Shopify sites that deliver an exceptional user experience and support our growth objectives.
As the Shopify Designer & Developer, you will work onsite with our Marketing team to create, maintain, and optimize multiple Shopify storefronts. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders--including designers, copywriters, and digital marketers--to build intuitive user interfaces, develop with best coding practices, improve conversion rates, and ensure technical excellence. The ideal candidate is both a creative problem-solver and a skilled developer who can juggle design and coding responsibilities seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities:
• Shopify Development & Maintenance
• Build, customize, and maintain Shopify storefronts.
• Implement and develop custom themes, apps, and plugins as needed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on an ongoing basis.
• UI/UX Design & CRO
• Create visually engaging, user-friendly interfaces aligned with brand guidelines.
• Implement user-centric design principles to optimize conversion rates.
• Conduct A/B testing and use data-driven insights to improve site performance.
• Collaboration & Strategy
• Work closely with the Marketing team to develop and execute project plans.
• Communicate design ideas and prototypes to stakeholders.
• Gather and analyze customer feedback and site analytics to inform design and development decisions.
• Coding & Best Practices
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following industry best practices.
• Conduct regular testing and QA to ensure site stability and performance.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging Shopify features, trends, and best practices.
• Project Management
• Manage multiple projects, balancing deadlines and deliverables effectively.
• Document project progress, challenges, and solutions to ensure transparency.
• Adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
• Experience: 4-5 years of professional experience in Shopify design and development.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in Shopify's templating language (Liquid), HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design.
• Proven track record of developing custom themes, apps, and plugins for Shopify.
• Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git) and coding best practices.
• Design Expertise:
• Strong UI/UX skills with a focus on conversion optimization (CRO).
• Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or Sketch).
• Collaboration & Communication:
• Ability to work effectively onsite within a collaborative team environment.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Problem-Solving:
• Methodical, organized, and capable of troubleshooting technical and design issues quickly.
• Comfortable switching between creative design and hands-on development tasks.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary Range: (Based on Experience) : $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
Schedule: Onsite 4 Days a Week/1 Day Remote (Friday Half-Day)
