Marketplace Operations Specialist (Finance)

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Marketplace Operations Specialist is responsible for supporting end to end onboarding of The Knot's eCommerce marketplace sellers. This role assists in the operational workflows ensuring that products from third-party sellers are successfully listed and sold, all while delivering a positive seller experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Marketplace Operations:
  • Execute the start to finish item setup of all products for the site, including but not limited to product imagery, product copy, pricing, and taxonomy
  • Responsible for ensuring product launches on the site on time and with all applicable selling information (Images, Copy, Color Names, Pricing, etc.) and responsible for site QA post-launch
  • Investigate and troubleshoot import issues as they arise, work with suppliers, merchandising and eng teams to correct
  • Supports QA and Data Clean up
  • Support the maintenance of internal documentation such as onboarding dashboards or seller handbooks
• Performance Tracking & Optimization:
  • Monitor the progress of new seller onboarding, tracking key metrics such as time to launch, assortment template completion, etc.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, aiming to enhance the efficiency and experience of seller onboarding
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with Business Development to ensure timely launches and clear communication with sellers

SUCCESSFUL MARKETPLACE OPERATIONS SPECIALIST CANDIDATES HAVE:

• 2+ years of eCommerce experience preferred
• Bachelor's Degree required
• Well organized and well versed in Excel/Google sheets
• Analytical and data-driven; experience in web analytics preferred
• Contentful, Magento and or Mirakl experience is a plus
• Excels in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
• Creative thinker and problem-solver determined to achieve the desired outcome
• Effective written, verbal and cross-functional collaboration skills
