Chaplain (Personal Services)
Westminster Suncoast, a beautiful active living retirement community located in St. Petersburg is currently seeking a full-time Chaplain. The Chaplain provides spiritual guidance and pastoral care to residents and staff of the community with special emphasis on residents, or as directed by the Executive Director. The Chaplain will coordinate worship services within the community and will develop programs to enhance the spiritual growth and wellness of the residents and staff.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Plan and lead weekly worship, utilizing guest speakers and musicians.
2. Plan and lead frequent studies on Biblical or religious subjects.
3. Be a presence and counselor for residents, families and staff.
4. Visit with residents in crisis: dying, grieving, in the hospital, in-transition, or facing personal tragedy.
5. Facilitate resident's participation in their local congregation.
6. Inform local faith groups about Westminster Communities of Florida.
7. Become the religious liaison between Westminster's community and the local religious community.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
Be an ordained Protestant (or mainstream denomination) clergy with at least Master of Divinity degree from an ATS accredited institution.
Have a minimum of three years parish or chaplain experience and must have at least one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE). Experience in a continuing care retirement community or skilled nursing center is preferred.
The Chaplain will also have significant training in personal relationships and their development and must appreciate the special gifts older adults bring to life.
