BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Basic Computer skills
• Knowledge of Wax OperationsHowmet Aerospace's Wichita Falls, TX facility has an opening for a Wax NDI Operator.
MUST BE ABLE TO WORK 12 HOUR ROTATING NIGHT SHIFTS, 7:00 P.M TO 7:00 A.M. (2 on 2 off, 3 on 2 off, 2 on 3 off)
Hourly pay rate begins at $20.55 (plus 1.00 shift differential for night shifts) The hourly pay rate at 9 months will be $25.50

JOB SUMMARY:
NDI operators are responsible for the following skills: Inspection, Engraving, Wall Gauge, X-Ray (GE/DR). Trainees must successfully complete written and practical assessment of skills/knowledge at end of skills training.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Basic Computer Applications
• Must be able to read and interpret Product Criteria (PC) and Activity Instructions (AI).
• Must be able to function as a member of a team and be able to work under general supervision.
• Must be able to maintain expected quality levels.
• Comply with all site required policies and procedures including but not limited to: EHS, Quality, Code of Conduct and the Wichita Falls Employee Handbook.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. X-ray - Inspect patterns for core breaks
2. Log pieces into X-ray Log Book
3. Care and maintenance for X-ray badge
4. Wall gauge
5. Train to use Golden Spike and V374 Transducer
6. Sign out transducer in Log Book
7. Perform Audits, Fill out Audit Log Sheet
8. Inspect and Log Wall gauge and X-ray data into IPC
9. Communicate scrap issues with Die Tech, Team Leader and Supervisor
10. Set engraver depth
11. Engrave T.I.D.
12. Log issues in engraver book
13. Flex from x-ray to wall gauge or engraving as needed
14. Meet workflow and efficiency expectations
15. Distribute patterns to cell when time permits
16. Performs other duties as required.
17. Complies with all EHS rules related to the work environment.
18. Works Overtime as required.
19. Follows 5S rules and procedures.
20. Utilize help chain when needed. (Human Performance, BOLO)

2. Training:
• Each level takes minimum of 90 Days
• Pass written and proficiency test for each skill set.
• Completed Training Folder
3. Equipment Used:
• Hot Plates
• Hand tools
• Engraving Machine
• X-Ray Unit
• Gauging Fixtures
4. Work Environment:
• Works in air-conditioned area.
• Slight exposure to chemicals, fumes, oil, dust, noise and heat or cold.
