Design Engineer II (Engineering)
How will you make an impact?-
The Product Verification Engineer will perform product verification activities including test execution, protocol/plan development, data collection/analysis, and test fixture design/automation. Testing will be coordinated and executed in conjunction with our customer partners (including both healthcare and consumer) in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a successful track record of leading technical product verification activities at system and subsystem level (both hardware and firmware/software) and have strong communication skills to interface directly with the customer.
What will you do? -
Manage tests from setup through execution; communicate status with PV manager and customer.
Translate customer needs into clear, testable, traceable requirements (and manage requirements in tool such as Azure DevOps)
Collect and Analyze test data, and document in test reports; share results with the team to understand failures
Support text fixture design for test optimization/efficiency/modularity (utilizing tools such as LabVIEW and SolidWorks)
Lead root cause investigations of technical issues
Be customer facing and interface with the customer's technical team
May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
How will you get here? -
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university is required
Experience:
Minimum of 2- 5 years of related experience and/or training is required
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Strong understanding of engineering principles, with hands-on experience using standard laboratory equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, and digital multimeters (DMMs).
Inherent curiosity to diagnose and resolve issues, with proven experience in debugging and troubleshooting technical problems.
Root cause analysis and recreation of failure mode.
Familiarity with various sensors, their functions, and methods of interaction.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, effectively communicating with external teams to align and prioritize work when resources are limited.\
Familiarity with setting up and running Test Chambers (e.g., EMC, Environmental, Thermal, Shock/Vibe, etc.)
Familiarity of Safety/ Electromechanical Standards
Systems Engineering fundamentals (e.g., INCOSE ASEP Certification)
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced Degree (Masters/ Ph.D.) is preferred
