Are you ready to immerse yourself in the world of user-centered design? Join our team as a UX Intern and take the first step toward building a rewarding career in creating intuitive and impactful digital experiences. This role offers hands-on learning opportunities in designing websites and software applications while collaborating on meaningful projects in information technology.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in Designing Engaging User Interfaces:
· Contribute to the development of wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs for various digital platforms.
· Support the team in creating and maintaining design systems to ensure consistency across products.
Participate in Enhancing User Experiences:
· Help conduct user research, usability testing, and analyze feedback to optimize designs.
· Collaborate on innovative solutions to improve user satisfaction and engagement.
Assist in Implementing Our Employee Experience Program:
· Contribute to the development journey maps for recruitment, onboarding, and government clearance processes.
· Support the HR and operations teams in implementing new experiences for employees across a range of human capital management and learning programs.
· Grow our employee Centers of Excellence by creating compelling content across well-orchestrated learning paths.
Collaborate Across Departments:
· Work alongside experienced designers, developers, and marketing teams to achieve shared goals.
· Gain insight into strategic design processes during cross-functional meetings.
Learn and Grow in UX Design:
· Develop skills using tools like Figma and Squarespace through practical experience.
· Stay curious and up-to-date with emerging trends and practices in UX design.
Assist in the VA onboarding of new personnel:
· Reach out to contingent new hires with VA onboarding instructions.
· Perform quality reviews of VA onboarding forms.
· Conduct follow up and tracking of VA onboarding forms for each new hire.
· Track the status and collect details for the distribution of VA equipment and PIV badges to personnel.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
· Basic understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, or JavaScript is helpful.
· Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
· A collaborative mindset and a genuine enthusiasm for learning about UX design.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS DESIRED:
· Foundational knowledge of design tools like Figma (experience is a bonus but not required)
· A portfolio or samples of work (academic, personal, or professional) are encouraged but not mandatory.
EDUCATION:
· Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in User Experience Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
CLEARANCE:
· Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

· Remote
