Responsibilities
Drive profitable business with national account customers by leading and directing the BMD National accounts team. Prepare and execute sales and marketing strategy with national account customer base, consistent with division financial and strategic objectives. Direct the negotiation and implementation of division programs for national account customer base. Oversee and provide direction to the members of the BMD national accounts team. Develop relationships with key contacts at national account customers, including future decision makers. This will include the coordination of customer relationship building events. Recruit, Train and develop national account managers. Help identify opportunities to share and communicate best practices that have been successful with national accounts. Communicate and help facilitate connection between branches, the national accounts team and customers. Make sure that clear direction is being provided to the appropriate branches, division staff and suppliers for BMD targeted national accounts. Recommend a strategy and plan to insure that BMD is proactively connecting with in all targeted product lines. Utilize the account planning process for setting and measuring goals with national accounts. Create and/or improve processes for quotes, pricing program templates. Lead and measure net margin improvement with national account customers. Work with division leadership, suppliers and branches to create national account sales programs. Manages all business in compliance with antitrust and other applicable laws and regulations. Demonstrate strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications: College Degree or equivalent work experience in related job function.
Preferred Qualifications: Prefer advanced degree or undergraduate in related field with minimum of ten (10) years of management level sales and marketing experience in building materials industry.
