As the Vice President and Product Owner for the Global Developer Experience team within the CTO organization, you will spearhead the strategy to enhance developer velocity from onboarding to code delivery. You will collaborate with other product owners, tech leads, engineers, and delivery professionals to assess developer processes and cultivate habits that foster increased automation, minimize undifferentiated heavy lifting, and enable secure self-service. Your responsibilities will include identifying and partnering on critical business initiatives. You will manage skilled tech leads to ensure the delivery and successful adoption of your products, as evidenced by the development teams' overall improvement in velocity for modern initiatives. Financially accountable for the end-to-end product line, you will be empowered to efficiently run and scale your organization. Success in this role will be gauged by the extent to which projects integrate the developer tools using automation and achieve quantifiable business results. With your expertise in application development, infrastructure, and governance, you will bring a wide range of technical and leadership skills to your team, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Here is What You Can Expect on a Typical Day
Create and maintain a global product roadmap based on an understanding of the business and the strategic potential of the capabilities you own including:
Global Developer Portal
Reusable Code Generation Patterns (Inclusive of UI, App, and Infrastructure layers)
Developer Onboarding and Process Automation
Developer Tooling
Provide deep technical expertise driving developer portal content including but not limited to UI, Application and Infrastructure development patterns.
Establish a tagging and metrics driven model to identify versioned patterns deployed in production, promoting rehydration and validating architectural alignment
Streamline the number of developer portals across the company to enhance the ease at which developers engage with different processes and teams
Promote an inner-source developer ecosystem, promoting a collaborative environment where developers are empowered to contribute and build upon solutions
Lead with an application development and automation mindset, promoting frequent, small changes.
Partner consistently with the business to ensure strategic alignment for core capabilities, and initiatives, including the potential for peer coding opportunities
Ensure alignment of product features and stories, i.e., review, give feedback, and prioritize user stories in line with your roadmap and vision.
Communicate frequently with business stakeholders to ensure engagement and buy-in on decisions and proposed solutions. Establish a strong feedback loop.
Champion adoption of your product line, creating a user friendly and sustainable adoption model.
Lead sprint and release plans together with the Scrum Master and organizational technology teams.
Work with Tech lead(s) to build modular & reusable solutions.
Manage the end-to-end financials of the product line.
Deep Application Development, Engineering, Analytics, or similar experience
Strong technical experience in
Application Development, Automation, and Infrastructure as Code
Experience in programming languages, libraries and frameworks:
Python, Java, JavaScript, React, Springboot, Node.js, or similar
IAC: Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar
Microservice front-end
Domain Driven Design
Cloud Architecture
APIs - both internal and external
Event Driven Design
Resiliency, including multi region design strategies
Containerization – docker or kubernetes
Information Security – Oauth, mTLS, authn and authz
Observability – metrics, logging, and end-to-end tracing
Modular and Reusable code
Agile methodology
Operations processes to support an active production environment.
Overall operations incident process flow and driving towards faster Incident resolution.
Understanding of observability and how signals and automation technologies can drive incident response to predict and avoid outages before they occur.
Lead and effectively leverage diverse ideas, experiences, thoughts, and perspectives to the benefit of the organization.
Ability to learn new skills and knowledge on an on-going basis through self-initiative and tackling challenges.
Excellent problem solving, communication and collaboration skills; enjoy learning new skills.
Expertise with several of the following:
Effective Communication: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

Financial/Business Acumen: Strong Knowledge of financial and/or business concepts, tools and processes and how financial metrics are used to monitor and drive outcomes. Includes understanding of company accounts/metrics (ex: balance sheet, profit/loss, cash flow, budget & forecast).
Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
Agile Methodologies: Knowledge of concept and principles of agile methodology; ability to apply appropriate agile approaches in the processes of software development and delivery.
