Donor Development Specialist (Finance)
To establish, coordinate and administer the solicitation and acquisition of corporate, community and school material donations. To be an ambassador to our community on behalf of our organization.
Essential Duties(Other duties within the scope of this position may be assigned.)
2. Initiates, plans, manages and executes donation events while meeting donation projections, controlling costs and operating within budgeted allocations. Works closely with the transportation department to identify and resolve issues around costs, logistics and labor as needed.
3. Performs duties as the liaison between our organization and the donating community. Works closely with marketing to ensure donation drives are communicated effectively and provides site visits and follow up with contacts.
4. Tracks all corporate, community and school donations and their estimated value. Maintains a file of donors and event results. Documents contacts with and ensures continued follow up with all potential donors.
5. Works with the Director of E-Commerce to identify and solicit the most needed and sellable items that will generate the most revenue for the agency through online sales.
6. Assists in providing our organizational message to the public. Works closely with marketing to create and provide marketing materials about our programs to our donor partners.
7. Educates Goodwill team members about the donation acquisition process to ensure team members are providing business leads which can assist in acquiring material donations. Supports agency sustainability initiatives.
The associate in this position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
