Client Services Administrator (Sales)
Position Summary
This position is responsible for working closely with the Uwharrie Investment Advisors Sales team in various functions to support the Lead Financial Advisor with new business and servicing existing clients. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, processing new account information, assisting clients with transfers and money movement requests, handling client calls and servicing requests, working with internal and external parties to resolve issues and scheduling client meetings.
General Qualifications
Knowledge: Associates degree in a business related field or equivalent experience is required. Requires a general knowledge and exposure to financial products, services, and current trading processes, insurance annuity products, brokerage and insurance products, and an understanding of regulatory requirements pertaining to these areas. Must hold or have the ability to obtain certain insurance and securities licenses, as deemed necessary.
Experience: A minimum of one to three years administrative experience in the financial services industry, preferably with a concentration in investment services.
Skills: Position requires well-developed human relations and customer service skills, with the ability to assess customer needs and determine suitable products to meet their financial needs. Must possess excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, written and oral communication skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information. Must have excellent planning and organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities, with the ability to work under pressure and with pre-determined deadlines. Position requires personal computer skills and proficiency with various software applications, including word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.
Scope of Decisions: Position involves a wide range of administrative responsibilities using general guidance, policies and procedures as defined for this position. Must be flexible and have the ability to determine priority of responsibilities. Must possess the ability to make good judgment decisions under general supervision. Position involves contact with customers, outside service providers and the public. Confidentiality is of high importance.
ADA Requirements: Vision, hearing, speech, dexterity, concentration, learning, thinking, interaction with others, the ability to exercise self-control, the ability to work under stressful conditions, particularly in customer and employee relations are necessary. A valid drivers license is required.
