Maintenance teams play a crucial role in ensuring the proper upkeep and functionality of equipment, machinery, and facilities. Comprised of skilled professionals such as custodians, electricians, and AC technicians, they handle routine and facility maintenance, emergency responses, inventory management, and equipment calibration, maintaining reliability, safety, and efficiency. Custodians are responsible for maintaining clean and orderly facilities. Their duties include heavy cleaning tasks such as floor maintenance, carpet shampooing, washing walls and windows, and waste removal. They also notify management of any necessary repairs, contributing to the overall condition and functionality of the building. Key Responsibilities: Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.Gather and empty trash cans.Service, clean, and supply restrooms.Clean and polish furniture and fixtures, including windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.Mix cleaning solutions using water, detergents, or acids according to specifications.Steam clean or shampoo carpets as needed.Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors as required.Gather and compact cardboard throughout the facility.Maintain custodial rooms in a clean and orderly condition.Perform minor adjustments and servicing of heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing, and electrical systems. Minimum Qualifications: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English.Basic janitorial skills.Capability to stand for extended periods.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with floor care, including stripping, sealing, and polishing.Familiarity with cleaning equipment and tools, including carpet shampooers and floor buffers.Basic knowledge of heating, cooling, plumbing, and electrical systems. Physical Demands: Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.Regular use of cleaning tools and equipment.Exposure to cleaning chemicals and varying indoor conditions.
