Job Description
**Pay between $25-44.81/hr depending on experience + $5,000 Sign-On Bonus!**
Purpose of Job: Maintains and repairs fleet vehicles, light/heavy trucks, vans, and forklifts to ensure safe and reliable operations.
Job Duties:
- Performs most major repairs on fleet vehicles, light/heavy trucks, vans, and forklifts.
- Performs advanced diagnostic troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Performs preventative maintenance and inspections.
- Performs driver-reported VCR repairs.
- Trains and assists other fleet technicians.
- Responsible for parts, test driving & forklift operations.
- Other duties as assigned.
*$5,000 will be paid based on performance within 120 days of continuous employment. Those without 5+ years of experience do not qualify.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Associate's Degree preferred.
- Five (5) ASE certifications or ten (10) years of vehicle maintenance experience.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical prior to their first day of employment.
- Must be able to obtain a CDL permit by the 15th business day and 45 business days from date of hire in which to obtain the license, if CDL is not currently held.
- Must possess proficient experience and knowledge with tools and equipment.
- Gasoline, diesel and propane fuel systems experience.
- Onboard diagnostics and repair experience.
- Must have experience with air and hydraulic brake systems, air conditioning, general vehicle repair, electrical systems, battery-powered industrial equipment, and hydraulic systems.
- Basic welding skills.
- Required to have his/her own set of mechanic's tools sufficient for his/her level of experience.
- A good work ethic for daily physically and mentally challenging work.
- Must enjoy working outside year-round when necessary.
- Must have strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- Must be able to meet PBV driving qualifications.
- Must be able to work hours necessary to complete assigned tasks.
Physical Requirements:
- Constantly (67%-100%) required to walk and stand.
- Frequently (34%-66%) required to climb and lift up to 100 pounds.
- Occasionally (0%-33%) required to sit.
