Lead and develop a best-in-class regional sales team supporting the Midwest Food geography
Elevate strategic relationships with several core customers
Deliver on Volume, Net Sales, and Profit Targets through ownership of the region P&L
Execute against our national strategies and regional growth imperatives that will deliver our financial KPI's and market share growth
Develop and maintain cross functional relationships with all departments that impact and influence the success of the sales organization
Create a learning and growing environment for our members
Assist your members with broker development and accountability
Lead and coach "Strategic Question Asking" sales process
Coach and empower members to take calculated risks
Recruit and develop members for succession planning and the long-term health of the sales organization
Education:
Bachelor's Degree required
Experience:
Minimum of 7 years consumer packaged goods sales experience in the retail grocery industry required
Direct experience in food sales is a plus
Proven experience building new and existing relationships with key customers required; including those in key strategic decision-making positions at headquarter level
Demonstrated experience building and leading internal and external teams, required
Experience with syndicated data (IRI, Consumer Insights, etc.), required
Skills and Competencies:
Superior strategic and tactical business planning skills, excellent understanding of the P&L
Proven record of substantially building a business
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including negotiation, presentation, coaching and motivation skills
High degree of motivation, flexibility and initiative; ability to generate new ideas and drive change where needed
Proficient in Microsoft Office; SAP/Trade Promotion Management (TPM)

Ability and willingness to travel approximately 40-60%
