Director Pace Detox (Healthcare)
View Point Health has partnered with DBHDD to provide counseling, medication management, recovery and crisis stabilization services for individuals and groups with behavioral health and developmental disabilities. We serve adult clients with psychiatric crisis intervention and stabilization services as well as substance use disorder.
View Point Healths Adult Residential Substance Detoxification Program is a short-term, 24/7 acute care, detox unit located in Covington, GA. Care is primarily focused on supervision, observation and support for individuals during withdrawal management. Residential Withdrawal Management is characterized by its emphasis on medical monitoring and/or on peer/social support.We provide person-centered care and assist with implementing our unit programming based on evidenced-based practices for substance use detox, brief treatment and early recovery support.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide administrative leadership to include day-to-day direction and operational guidance for service delivery at the Residential Detox Center Direct and oversee all personnel matters including hiring, training, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, terminations, and recommendations for promotions Develop and implement evidence-based treatment protocols and regularly assess their compliance with contractual, regulatory, and accreditation standards including but not limited to CARF and HFR Ensure the delivery of services adheres to ASAM 3.7 criteria, focusing on medically monitored intensive inpatient services Oversee the management of the clinical team, including physicians, nurses, counselors, and support staff to ensure integrated and comprehensive care Manage operating budget to ensure the program operates with positive margins Identify opportunities to increase revenues and develop consistent practices for invoicing and billing agency-contracted services Recommend programs and staffing modifications based on program needs and funding Collaborate with internal and external partners to expand VPHs service provision within communities while focusing on quality care for individuals served Implement quality improvement initiatives and monitor outcomes to ensure high standards of care and client satisfaction Coordinate with healthcare providers and external agencies to facilitate comprehensive care and continuity of services post-discharge Ensure staff are trained in trauma-informed care and culturally competent practices Oversee the use of electronic health records (EHR) to maintain accurate and confidential client documentation Provide crisis intervention and support as needed, maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment Facilitate regular staff meetings and continuing education opportunities to promote professional development Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in a related area from an accredited college or university with eligibility for licensure OR certification as Addiction Counselor by certification Board of Georgia. Two years of related post-grad experience in MH and/or Addictions Treatment OR RN licensure and degree in nursing
Preferred Qualifications:
LCSW or LPC with a minimum of 2 years experience working in a residential Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment setting RN licensure and degree in nursing with at least 2 years of clinical nursing experience in a residential Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment setting and experience implementing detoxification and medications for Opioid Use Disorder At least 2 years in previous leadership role Excellent problem-solving skills Experience providing substance abuse treatment and familiarity with ASAM criteria Strong leadership and communication skills Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and data management
Requirements/Competencies:
Must be able to lift 20 pounds.Requires long periods of sitting/standing.Must have valid Georgia drivers license and Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with company policy.Candidates for selection must pass a criminal background check (including fingerprinting).Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and subject to random drug screens.Any combination of training and experience, which would have enabled the applicant to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities
