Responsibilities:
- Assemble Pedestals, Turntables, and Boom components, along with other related assembly components, to produce world-class Altec Equipment.
- Learn and follow all work instructions, using blueprints and hydraulic diagrams to assemble utility equipment.
- Prepare and fit multiple components together.
- Follow all established safety and quality policies and practices.
- Learn and operate all equipment within the department.
- Support APS initiatives - Lean Manufacturing.
- Willingness to move to other areas of production as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to work 2nd and/or 3rd shift.
- Mechanical assembly experience.
- Ability to read and understand technical documents such as engineering documents and schematics.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Vocational technical school certificate in a manufacturing field.
- Hydraulic and Electrical (Automotive wiring) skills.
- Experience in the utility industry.
