Balance Sheet Manager (Construction)
General Qualifications
Knowledge: A four-year degree in accounting or finance is required or equivalent experience in the functions described below. A CPA, MBA or CMA designation is a plus. Candidate must have in depth knowledge of accounting and business operations, as well as an understanding of computerized accounting functions.
Experience: A minimum of five years experience in accounting, preferably in a financial institution. Experience with personal computer input and retrieval of information are essential.
Skills: Must have good analytical ability (including basic working knowledge of bond math, regression analysis and statistics) and well-developed human relations skills. Must have personal computer skills and be proficient with various software applications.
ADA Requirements: Vision, hearing, speech, concentration, learning, and thinking, interaction with others, the ability to exercise self-control and the ability to meet deadlines and to work under stressful conditions are necessary.
Scope of Decision Making
Executive management depends heavily on the critical assessments of the following strategic risks: liquidity, investment portfolio, interest rate and capital adequacy. This position assists the CFO in the monitoring of liquidity and liquidity planning, contingency liquidity stress testing; investment portfolio monitoring, trade analysis and execution; interest rate risk modeling and the development of appropriate balance sheet strategies; participation in the development of annual budgets and capital planning are critical to the long term success and viability of the company and its affiliates.
