Corporate Tax Internship 2025 (Finance)
Who we are looking for:
The Corporate Tax Department at State Street is hiring undergraduate Accounting or Big Data students to join our team. We are looking for candidates who enjoy problem solving and analytical thinking who will grow to become valuable contributing members of our team. All necessary training will be provided on the job.
Why the role is important to us:
You will join a world-class tax department completing Federal, International and State tax calculations while enhancing your data analytic skills in excel and Alteryx. Gain valuable real-world experience in Tax Compliance and Tax Accounting while completing your education.
What you will be responsible for:
• Supporting the Corporate Tax department (Compliance and Provision teams)
• Provide assistance with long-term analytical research projects with various members of the department, providing a well-rounded exposure to the tax department as a whole
• Provide support to provision team for monthly, quarterly and year-end close procedures
• Work with other interns to ensure daily tasks and requests are completed

Education & Preferred Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled undergraduate student. Sophomores, Juniors or Seniors planning to pursue a masters preferred.
• Accounting or Big Data Major preferred
• All necessary training will be provided on the job
Hours / Timing :
• Office Hours: 9-5 (may vary slightly depending on department needs)
• Design your own schedule to work 20 hours a week during the school year and 40 hours a week during the summer.
• The internship starts June 2025. We are looking for students who are interested in continuing the internship through Spring 2026. Satisfactory candidates can continue until they graduate with their MSA or MST.

Salary Range:
$15,600 - $58,500 Annual
The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
